Steinhilber Swanson Mourns Loss of Kenneth R. Sipsma

We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing last weekend of our partner, Kenneth R. Sipsma. He was much loved by his clients, and he made our Firm a better place to practice. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this challenging time.

Ken brought a deep and thoughtful approach to his law practice on behalf of individuals, families, businesses, estates, and trusts throughout Wisconsin. These same qualities were regularly on display in our Firm, and made Ken invaluable as a partner. Whether going through a complex divorce or sorting out a contentious business dispute, his clients and his partners could rely on his steady and calm demeanor, and his skills in providing candid advice and strong advocacy.

Prior to receiving his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison in 1994, Ken worked as a counselor for the Mendota Mental Health Institute. After law school he started his own law firm, and later joined Steinhilber Swanson as a partner in 2016.  Ken was also passionate about public service, and served on the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Westport for 27 years.  He was the Board’s Chairman at the time of his death.

Further details regarding funeral arrangements (still in planning) will be added when they become known.
