At Steinhilber Swanson LLP, our people are our greatest resource. One of our talented attorneys has reached a new milestone in her career while also being recognized for her legal excellence in the law and impeccable ethical standards.
Virginia E. George is our newest partner. Virginia joined the firm in April, 2019 and leads our Milwaukee office.
Some of Ms. George’s most notable achievements include the collection of a twenty-million-dollar Petroleum Environmental Clean-up Fund Act portfolio for a national lender and an award of the largest punitive damage verdict in state history in favor of multiple families defrauded by a bank. Most recently, in her role as a Chapter 7 panel trustee and during the state-wide COVID-19 shutdown, she successfully negotiated the sale of “The Bull Golf Course” and previously negotiated and won approval of ITO Industries, a shuttered electric bare-board manufacturer. She also obtains results for companies, farms, and persons reorganizing their debts. She holds an AV Preeminent® and AV Preeminent Attorney-Judicial Edition rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Ms. George graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1985, with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. She subsequently earned The American Jurisprudence Award and her Juris Doctorate in 1988 from Marquette University Law School.
Ms. George currently serves as a board member for IWIRC Wisconsin Network and is a two-term past board member of the Bankruptcy Insolvency and Creditor’s Rights Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin. She is an active member of NABT, ABI, IWIRC, TMA, MBA and EDWBA. She regularly presents at conferences on various bankruptcy topics.
We offer hearty congratulations to Virginia on her well-deserved achievements and look forward to many years of partnership in service of our clients.
